There will be snow. There will be ice. We could lose power! 

In preparation, I've stocked the larder. I'm eating the larder.

I've got candles, but better yet, I've got sterno. If the electricity goes out, I can still have my hot tea. Yes! How clever I am to think of this. So bring it on Old Man Winter! 

I see a squirrel eyeing me as I write this. Does he know what's coming? Undoubtably he does, and I know his plan: To crawl under my Volkswagen hood and chew up my engine wires.
