The Official Beer of Simone's School Yard Drinkin'

I'm proud to partner with Free State Brewery of Lawrence, Kansas in rolling out my summer seasonal Official Beer of Simone's School Yard Drinkin'----Storm Chaser IPA.  Best when drunk ice cold as pictured here on the ball field behind my mom's house.

Ouch! Watch out for that sticker patch! They say the stickers are especially bad this year.

Th Official Beer of Simone's School Yard Drinkin' also goes down well when enjoyed against the sun-warmed stones of the old Industrial Arts building across the alley. I like to come out here when the sun is full on, the stones are maximum lit and my beer is maximum cold.

Nice little drinking corner here, except for being in view of all the neighbors.

But then, I have a view of them too.

  1. Cold beer! The best!
I noticed that each picture appeared to be of the same bottle with the same amount of beer in it. It seems that hauling that same beer from venue to venue, without drinking it along the way, would compromise the "coldness". Maybe there are two different bottles and each, coincidentally, were photographed after the first drink, while the photographer was dealing with a case of brain freeze? (I hope so)

  3. A modified version of brain freeze, given that my melon was cooking in temps near 100 before I cooled 'er down with Stormchaser. These are actually old photos I took earlier this summer when it was scorching hot. Sadly such days are on the wane now. Anyway, have to tell you that it was the same bottle and it did warm up too much for my liking during its photo shoot. It's a battle to keep beer cold out there even when you're straight up drinking and not dallying.

  4. Word! This should be a thing. Makes so much sense. I'll go further --How bout 3 oz. bottles? Because I always feel like it's those first few drinks out of the bottle that taste the best somehow.
