My Happy Full Moon Supermoon Birthday

Today is a special day in all the universe---my birthday!!  And I'm getting the coolest most cosmic present ever. A full moon! 

I hate to brag but it's not everyone who gets a full moon on their birthday. And not just any full moon, but a Harvest Moon. Because after all, I'm an October babe, practically born in a pumpkin patch.  And it's not just any Harvest Moon, but a Supermoon.  That's when the moon is at its closest point to the earth, so it looks larger than normal. Disturbingly larger, like something is wrong. For a second you might wonder if the earth has left its orbit or the aliens have nudged the moon closer. But no, it's not aliens. 

This moon is the brightest and largest moon of the year! (So far.)  Because it's my birthday!
