Flight from Seattle back to Kansas City

The views outside the plane window on the flight to and from Seattle are amazing. We flew right by Mount Rainier, and over a lot of rugged land. I knew we were almost home when the land flattened out like it had been ironed. (I did not take pictures of that.)

  1. wonderful pictures! i like the phrase about the land flattening out like it had been ironed. great way to describe kansas. i especially was intrigued by the last couple of photos, of the lake? what is the white in the middle? ice? cloud? snow? fascinating! i love to look at the world from above.

  2. I am in love with the bumpy parts.
Someday, I want to head up to the upper, left corner and walk around on some of those bumps con su hermana.
(when there is a little less snow)

  3. H.B., I know mi hermana would love that. And I'm sure you're equal to that task. Not sure I could handle it.

Sue--I was just as intrigued as you while we were flying over that lake. What IS that? I finally decided it must be ice, and it had thawed around the edges. The West just has the most amazing topography. Hate to say it, but the midwest looked so boring by comparison.

  4. Yeah, I agree those should be lakes that are frozen over. Thanks for letting us in on all these pictures of the trip; it's the next best thing to being there!
