ReplyDeleteBTW - just a heads up. You will not (repeat...NOT) be receiving a birthday card from me, tomorrow. Not that I don't care or that I'm not grateful for the cards you have sent to me, but since retirement, I have taken my work philosophy to an entirely new level.
ReplyDeleteE.T.I. (Excellence Thru Inactivity) got me through a 42 year career, so I see no reason it shouldn't continue to get me through whatever time I have left.
I wish I could have been there for the blessed event, but let's just make believe that our time together last month, was a subtle, but meaningful, birthday celebration. (without the singing and cake and gifts and what not)
Sounds just fine to me, H.B. Yes, our visit was a good stand-in for a birthday celebration, and anyway, I know you will think of NOTHING else but my birthday the whole live-long day tomorrow! So that suffices. I like that E.T.I. I think you kind of stole it from me, but you were the one who came up with the nifty moniker, so I'll give that to you.
